Dr. Ottman’s research and Extension interests are to increase crop production efficiency through knowledge of basic plant processes and improved agronomic practices. In particular, he is interested in irrigation management and its effect on crop physiology, the relationship between nitrogen and grain protein in wheat, environmental influences on crop growth, and crop rotation effects on soil properties. Dr. Ottman’s work has been seen in such publications as New Phytologist and Agronomy Journal.
